UNA’S ORCHESTRA
Una has planned an exciting trip away for her Orchestra leaving on Saturday the 9th April and returning on Sunday 10th April. The Orchestra will perform two concerts over the weekend. The first on Saturday evening the 9th in Clifden and the second on Sunday afternoon the 10th in Moycullen. The finances have not yet been finalised, but Una will inform you when we have figures. It is important that rehearsals are fully attended by all members from now until the tour. Only members with full attendance will be selected to travel.

Maire’s Orchestra will do a tour of schools later in the year.

We have decided to reintroduce Book Challenges again this year which will be certified by Music Matters. The challenge is to play every piece in whichever book or books you have completed from memory. If you are not up to date with your review now is the time to start. Remember review is the foundation on which we build technique.
We will hold the challenges the week after term ends in June.

SUMMER CAMP 2011
The National Suzuki Summer Camp is hosted by Dublin this year and takes place in Swords from July 4th to the 8th. Information and Application forms can be downloaded from the website suzukiireland.net . We encourage all our Suzuki students to attend. The camp promises to be a week of music and great fun with Suzuki Teachers from around the world.
Students who attend the camp yearly benefit greatly in their playing and overall development, and great friendships have been made over the years at the camps. Look forward to seeing you there.
