Teachers Notice of SEIi AGM

SAVE THIS DATE

Date: Sunday, 28th September, 2014
Venue: Change of Venue for this year: Cork School of Music, Union Quay, Cork.
Activities: Concert by Norwegian students, AGM, Child Protection Course

Apologies for the change of venue! There are lovely students coming to Cork from Oslo in Norway who wanted to perform at our AGM. They will give their main performance on Saturday and a short concert on Sunday for us. As their visit is short and their concert is short we decided to have our AGM in Cork rather than trying to bus the children to Horse and Jockey. You are all welcome to attend the Saturday performance too. I will post the exact details and times on the website as soon as they are finalized.

Your forms for renewing your membership and your student memberships are in the post along with information about membership receipt numbers and the Minutes of the last AGM for you to read ahead of the meeting. Please note that our financial year begins on the 1st of September each year with memberships due on that date.

If you are not currently a member of SEIi but are still teaching and using the name ‘Suzuki’, please download a membership form from the website, correct the date to 2014-2015, and re-join!

This year we are offering teachers a chance to attend a ‘Child Protection Awareness Course’ run by Barnardos on the day of the AGM. There is a limit of 15 teachers per group for the course. If you want to take part you must book ahead of time so we know when we have filled our places: (first come / first served). We will also need numbers for tea/coffee/lunch.

Keep watching the website for more details as we have them. If you have Suzuki colleagues who you know might not read emails or check websites, please contact them to help us keep everyone informed. We will not ‘paper-mail’ post further information, only electronic information!

Email enquiries@suzukiireland.net to book your place for lunch and the child protection course. I will send back reports to read before the AGM to save time.

Thank you!
