As a consequence of the disastrous earthquake and tsunami that literally ‘shook’ Japan, countless of our Japanese Suzuki Friends have lost members of their families, their homes and possessions.
We have a double goal in mind:
1. Give moral and financial support to the Suzuki families of Japan.
2. Provide an opportunity for all ESA Suzuki families and teachers to participate in an activity taking place in several countries and even continents simultaneously, developing noble hearts through music and raising our children to make the world a better place.
We are asking everyone to partake in a sponsored ‘Practice for Japan’ and we are encouraging all our students to do so.
Simply ask your teacher for a sponsorship form if you have not already received one.
You are invited to send either –
a. three high quality photographs (.jpg file) of the practice sessions
or
b. a 30 second video (.mpg file) of the practice sessions
Please label the .jpg/.mpg files with the name of the country.
Please ensure that permission has been given to use the images.
jpg/.mpg files to be sent to the ESA Office esa@europeansuzuki.org no later than Friday 15 April 2011.
A video showing children from all the countries within the ESA region practising for Japan will then be posted on the ESA website.
